Invitation to Ascot Kinder Annual General Meeting and Family Night

Dear Families,

On behalf of the current Committee of Management, I would like to welcome both new and returning families who have chosen Ascot Kindergarten for their child in 2024.

As a community run kindergarten we rely on assistance from our parent community to ensure the kindergarten operates smoothly and to support staff in offering the best learning experience for our children. This assistance can be provided both formally (by joining the Committee of Management) as well as informally (volunteering to help with fundraising events, working bees, helping during sessions, doing kinder washing etc.).

All positions on the Committee of Management are up for election at the Annual General Meeting held in November. Parents who volunteer for a committee position will take on the role for a period of 12 months, commencing on the last week in January. These parents work with the director and staff to ensure the kindergarten operates effectively.

Committee members receive support and guidance in their roles from the Kindergarten Director, Administration Officer, past Committee members and the Early Learning Association of Australia.

Volunteering on the committee is a fantastic way to get to know other families and to be actively involved in your child’s kindergarten experience.

I’ve been at the kindergarten for 8 years and a member of the committee for 8 years.  I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the kindergarten, support our wonderful educators and build relationships with other parent members and staff.

The current Committee of Management asks that you consider volunteering for a position on the Committee in 2024. We strongly encourage interested members to nominate before the AGM. This will help the AGM to run smoothly.
