After 10 weeks of tickets being on sale, the Ascot Kindergarten raffle was drawn on Friday 14th August by the kinder committee president and secretary. The 10 prize winners were notified that day, and are in the process of having their prizes distributed to them.
The lucky prize winners were:
1st prize = Diesel sunglasses = Millie Delaney (sibling of Ruby in Orange group)
2nd prize = Pamper package (facial, gift hamper, Pepper café voucher) = Gen Rowe
3rd prize = Children’s pack (DVDs, stationary pack, wooden construction toy) = Jo Burkandt
4th prize = Entertainment package (4x movie passes, wine, Sugar Beat café voucher) = Monique Cebola (parent of Ben in Orange group)
5th prize = Garden consultation or garden maintenance = Bronwyn Williams
6th prize = 10x gym passes = Joan Smith (grandma to Emilia in Blue group)
7th prize = $50 Airoart jewellery voucher = Elham Mohammad
8th prize = $50 Phat Milk café voucher = Gabriella Biscocho (sibling of Cassie in Orange group)
9th prize = $50 Officeworks voucher = Umberto Belmont (grandpa to James in Purple group)
10th prize = $50 Fresh on Young voucher = Karen Hellwig (parent to Thomas in Purple group)
Congratulations!
We had a fantastic show of support for Ascot Kindergarten with nearly 1000 tickets sold, raising just under $2000. The fundraising committee held three separate stalls in the plaza of Moonee Ponds Central and outside Newmarket train station, which not only helped raise valuable funds, but generated great community support and awareness of our kinder. Thanks to those members of the fundraising committee and kinder committee, and their partners, who took time from their weekends to help on the stalls.
We also want to express a big thank you to all those kinder families who were busy selling tickets to their family and friends, and generously buying tickets themselves.
Proceeds from recent fundraising events have already contributed towards a number of items recently purchased for the children at kinder, including Lego, bikes and a new stove for the home corner. Raffle funds will go towards more new tables and chairs and other items on the kinder wish list, to enhance the kinder experience for our children.

Our next fundraising event will be a Trivia Night on Friday October 16. It plans to be a fun night, hosted by a celebrity quiz master. Mark it in your diaries and start gathering together your teams of friends and family. More details to follow soon.
